出生於印度哲雪菩(Jamshedpur)的瑜珈老師Master Sujit Kumar,從5歲開始於Professor Prabir Karmakar(Karmakar瑜珈創使人)門下修習瑜珈。在近20年瑜珈修習過程與個人不曾間斷的修練中,從原本只是被不可思議的瑜珈體位法吸引的小男孩,在經過無以計數大小競賽的淬煉、父母與老師Professor Prabir Karmakar兼具身教與言教的潛移默化下,加上累積了在印度,香港與台灣多年豐富的教學經驗,成就了今天這位雖然年紀不及25歲,卻能影響改變各種不同年齡層的瑜珈老師。

Master Sujit was born in Jamshedpur,India. He has been practicing yoga with Professor Prabir Karmakar, the founder of Karmakar Institute of Yoga, since the age of 5. He has participated in numerous competitions and has had various teaching experiences in different countries during his twenty-year practice. In addition, under the influence of Professor Prabir and his parents, Master Sujit has matured into an excellent yoga teacher who not only excels at different yoga postures and asana, but also has the ability to influence students from different backgrounds.

除了不斷精進自己的瑜珈修練外,Master Sujit對於瑜珈教學也有著極大的熱忱。他專精於呼吸、體位法、瑜珈療法、溫和瑜珈、哈達瑜珈、動力瑜珈、熱流瑜珈、睡眠瑜珈、核心瑜珈、拜日瑜珈等等,對於一對一個人瑜珈特別指導,也有深入的研究並創立自己獨特的教學方式,同時針對不同的學生族群,設計適合的動作與個人化瑜珈技巧,讓每個學生都能夠自我評估正確體位,覺知自己的身體透過呼吸放鬆心情,愉快地學習瑜珈。

Besides practicing yoga, Master Sujit is passionate about yoga teaching. He has spent a lot of time studying all kinds of yoga classes, including Yoga Therapy, Karmakar Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Sun Series, Power Yoga, Core yoga , Flow Yoga, Yoga Nidra, to help students learn more efficiently and effectively.  He also designs individualized yoga sequences based on the characteristics of different students, so that every student can practice yoga the way that they feel most comfortable.

Master Sujit教導學生練習瑜珈動作與呼吸之餘,也希望學生能夠藉由這些練習,將瑜珈的精神實踐到日常生活之中。他常強調:「瑜珈不僅僅是只有坐在瑜珈墊上練習各種不同的體位法而已,瑜珈修練更是與我們的日常生活息息相關。」   所以總希望學生能夠學習與自己的身體對話,靜下心來慢慢體會.感受每一次的練習,並觀察自己身體的變化與進步。他說「傾聽內在自我的聲音仔細感受每一種體位法的滋味。每一種體位法都有它自己獨特的味道, 即使是練習同一種體位法,也會因為每次姿勢位置不同而體會到不同的滋味。」

Master Sujit hopes his students can apply the essence of yoga to their lives. He often emphasizes that yoga is not only practicing different postures on the mat, but it is also deeply related to our daily lives. He encourages his students to learn to communicate and listen to their body and to observe and feel the changes and progress of each practice. “Feel the taste of posture. Every posture has its taste, even the same one according to its positions taste differently,” Master Sujit said.

他有極大的決心與熱忱致力於推廣瑜珈, 更有熱情將瑜珈精神所提倡的愛與和平散播在世界每個角落。

Master Sujit said, “Practicing Yoga not only gives us the physical balance and energy, but also unites our body and mind and ultimately, leads us towards true freedom.”  He is determined to promote yoga by teaching what he has learned and is zealous to spread love and peace, the core spirit of yoga, around the world.
